Our Work
Out of the 32,000 North Korean refugees in South Korea, over 10,000 refugees have received our help.
We sponsor programs that provide medical support, job training, counseling, scholarships, and other educational needs.
Healthcare
Working with the nation's exclusive medical centers for North Korean refugees, we promote programs focused on mental health and rehabilitation.
From access to free medical consultations to North Korean medical support, Saejowi aims to bridge the communication and language gap often experienced by refugees in the medical field.
Education
We empower North Korean refugees by training them in counseling programs as the world's first and only certified counselors for fellow North Korean refugees.
With our organization’s mission always in mind, we also hold domestic violence, reunification education, and sewing classes for refugees. Education is something that we take very seriously, and our team is working each and every day to make a positive impact.
Raising Awareness
At Saejowi, we are dedicated to stepping up our efforts in raising awareness for the plight of North Korean refugees. Whether it be through theater plays featuring refugees themselves or cooking programs between North Koreans and foreigners, we believe we can facilitate progress in this area. We are always striving to make a difference, and invite you to join us at our events.
