AUGUST 17-18 — Our staff and friends were able to participate in a 1 night 2 days trip to Busan sponsored by the Ministry of Unification. The trip was designed to raise awareness of the history of Busan and the plight of Korean War refugees. The program was hosted by the city of Busan and Busan Hana Center. These photos were taken at 40 Stairs in Busan. During the 6.25 Korean War, the area around these 40 Stairs was home to hundreds of war refugees. The 40 Stairs was a place to sell market goods and a meeting place for families that got split up.
